Dogwood is an incredibly clean, beautiful space. All employees were so kind and lovely, and very patient in answering all of my questions. Would highly recommend!

From the very first phone call I made they made me feel welcome. They made me feel like they cared about my pet. And they squeezed my baby in because he was having an emergency issue. I cannot give them enough praise. Our pets will now start going to Dogwood Veterinary Clinic. ✌️

When ownership changed hands at my previous veterinary clinic and the quality of care and service rapidly declined, I began searching for a new vet. I’m so glad I found Dogwood Veterinary Clinic. On the morning of our first visit, I woke up to find that my dog, Simone, had been vomiting all night and couldn’t even keep water down. I first called our previous vet, hoping they could see her. The earliest appointment they offered was two days away. When I explained how sick she was and asked about a work-in or drop-off appointment, I was curtly told they were short-staffed and that I could call back the next day to see if a work-in might be available. My next call was to Dogwood, and the difference was remarkable. The CSR initially offered me an appointment about two and a half hours later, but when I explained that I couldn’t make that time, she asked if I could come in right away. I said yes! When we arrived, it was clear that she was extremely busy managing the front desk by herself on a Monday morning, but you would never have known it from the way she treated us. Simone was very anxious, so the CSR, whose name I wish I could remember, offered to take us directly into an exam room. Along the way, she offered me water and even asked if I would like a snack while I waited. Her kindness immediately made a stressful morning feel more manageable. A kind technician came in shortly afterward, whose name I also can't remember, to get Simone’s history, followed by Dr. Carter. He warmly introduced himself, shook my hand, listened carefully, asked thoughtful questions, and explained his recommendations for diagnostic testing. The team took Simone to check her vitals and run lab work, and when they brought her back, it was obvious that she had been adored and given plenty of attention. Simone is extremely anxious during and after car rides - and at the vet - and I couldn’t give her usual trazodone because of the vomiting. She normally whines so loudly in those situations that it can sometimes be hard to hear someone speaking. However, the longer we were at Dogwood, the calmer she became. She eventually relaxed enough to lie down while we waited for her results. I’m sure not feeling well played a part, but it also told me that she trusted the people caring for her and felt safe enough to settle. I don't think she's ever laid down while waiting at a vet clinic. That spoke volumes to me. Her lab results showed that she had pancreatitis, which was one of the possible diagnoses Dr. Carter had mentioned. The team gave her fluids and an anti-nausea injection, then sent us home with medication for nausea and pain. The next morning, I even received a call checking to see how she was doing. I’m happy to say that we have found our new veterinary home. I’m incredibly grateful that Dogwood was able to see Simone so quickly and provide such thoughtful, compassionate care to both of us.

Dr. Carter is fantastic! Highly recommend bringing your animals to see him. The other staff is also very nice and so sweet.

I have used Dogwood for several years now. Unfortunately, my dog, Chai, has quite a few health problems so we are frequent visitors. However, I can’t say enough good things about the Dogwood staff, especially Dr. Carter. He genuinely loves and cares about Chai, and it is very easy to communicate with him when I have questions. He is also an extremely skilled surgeon! My dog is very nervous around people, but she feels safe with Dr. Carter, which tells you all you need to know about the kind of person he is. I can’t change the fact that Chai has health issues (and I hate to see her suffer), but I am infinitely grateful to have a team like Dogwood to help us through them. If you truly want the best care for your pet, this is the place!
